This piece is a reflection on Lebanon and what it means to be Lebanese. Having lived in Lebanon for several years, Frédéric maintains a deep connection with the country. Through the eyes and emotions of his friends, he has experienced the events of recent years. From this adversity and resilience, a question arises: What is Lebanon? What does it mean to be Lebanese? Lebanon is a land. Lebanon is its people. These two elements intertwine and merge, gradually shaping a nation that has fallen and risen again for centuries. Like the ancient cedars growing, falling, burning, and rising anew, it fights for its existence and survival, only to stand tomorrow more impressive and magnificent than ever. These people, rooted here since the dawn of civilization, remain deeply fused with heir land. They continue to nurture the tree of life: the life of Lebanon, the lives of the Lebanese people.

Frédéric Imbert founded his eponymous studio in 2019 with the aim of nurturing a wide range of projects, from interiors and furniture to scenography and landscape design, while constantly exploring new materials and techniques. Based in Paris, the studio maintains a strong connection with Lebanon, where Frédéric lived for some years. His approach is simple and unpretentious, yet deeply rooted in his passion for materials. It embraces contrast, whether subtle or bold. This aesthetic sensibility, combined with the diversity of his projects, defines the studio’s identity. His work blends practicality and daring, with a keen focus on ethics, respect for context, and craftsmanship. Frédéric strives to create pieces, whether in his own workshops or through collaborations, that resonate emotionally and aesthetically. Each project is a creative journey, born from the exchange of ideas between Frédéric and his clients. The studio collaborates with brands like Isabel Marant, Lanvin, and Jo Malone on diverse projects, including residences, hotels, restaurants, and cinemas. Over the past five years, Frédéric Imbert has cultivated a unique style that merges responsible luxury with organic forms, where the sensuality of materials meets the precision of line.
