''Following the double explosion of the port of Beirut, the silos have become the focal point of those who advocate for justice. Silos are a point of contention pitting a group that advocates to destroy the silos against their opponents who fight to preserve the silos as a “collective memory”.
The silos symbolize life (wheat), a nurturing mother, but also destruction, loss, death, and overall injustice. They represent the heydays of a country that was at the avantgarde of innovation. They are now in tatters.
A metaphor of a country in ruins.''
